The target index includes U.S. government and agency obligations, corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, and emerging market bonds, all denominated in the U.S. dollar and with maturities of at least one year.The Vanguard Core-Plus Bond Index ETF is a stand alone product and is separate and distinct from the Vanguard Core-Plus Bond ETF (VPLS) and the Vanguard Core-Plus Bond Fund (VCPIX and VCPAX). Differences in scale, certain investment processes, and underlying holdings are expected to produce different investment returns by the funds.
