The short version: DividendFlow works without any account. We do not sell your data. We do not share personal information with advertisers. The only data we collect is your email if you voluntarily subscribe, and anonymous usage analytics to improve the product.
DividendFlow (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a financial education platform accessible at dividendflow.org. We provide free dividend calculators, stock screeners, and investment research tools for individual investors. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution.
Contact: hello@dividendflow.org
Information you provide voluntarily:
Email address — only if you use our email capture form (e.g., “Get your DRIP report” or “Subscribe to the Dividend Digest”). We store this securely in Upstash Redis. We use it to send the report or newsletter you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or at dividendflow.org/unsubscribe.
Information collected automatically:
Usage analytics — if you have Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics enabled in your browser (and have not opted out), we collect anonymous page view data: which pages were visited, how long you stayed, which country the request came from, and which device type was used. We do not collect your name, IP address in identifiable form, or financial account details through analytics.
Server logs — our hosting provider Vercel (Vercel Inc., San Francisco CA) logs standard HTTP request data including IP addresses for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained per Vercel's standard policy and are not accessible to DividendFlow for advertising purposes.
We explicitly do not collect: your brokerage account credentials or portfolio holdings, social security or tax identification numbers, credit card or payment information, trading history or transaction data, precise GPS location, biometric data, or any government-issued identification.
Our calculator runs in your browser using public market data. Your calculation inputs (investment amount, years, DRIP toggle) are processed client-side and are not sent to our servers or stored anywhere. We never see what you calculated.
We use minimal cookies for basic site functionality (session state, preferences). We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies.
Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager — if enabled, Google Analytics places its own cookies (_ga, _gid) to track anonymous usage statistics. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by using a browser with built-in tracking protection, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
We do not use Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or other advertising network trackers at this time. If we add any in the future, this policy will be updated.
Email addresses are used solely to send the content you requested (DRIP report, newsletter) and to improve email deliverability. We do not use emails for advertising targeting, we do not sell email lists, and we do not share emails with third parties except our email delivery provider Resend (resend.com) which processes emails on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Anonymous analytics data is used to understand which tools are most helpful and to prioritize product improvements.
We use the following third-party services to operate DividendFlow. Each has its own privacy policy:
Vercel Inc. — hosting and CDN. Privacy Policy
Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) — stock market data API. Your ticker requests are proxied through our server; your IP is not sent to FMP. Privacy Policy
Upstash Inc. — serverless Redis database for caching and email storage. Privacy Policy
Resend Inc. — transactional email delivery. Only used when you provide your email. Privacy Policy
Google LLC — analytics via Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics 4. Anonymous usage data only. Privacy Policy
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you have rights regarding your personal data:
Right to access — you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (in practice, only your email address if you subscribed).
Right to deletion — you can request that we delete your email address from our database at any time.
Right to opt out — you can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or at dividendflow.org/unsubscribe.
Right to portability — your data (email address, subscription date) can be provided in CSV format upon request.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@dividendflow.org. We respond to all requests within 30 days. Since we collect minimal personal data, most requests can be fulfilled immediately.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Email addresses stored in Upstash Redis are protected by token-based authentication. We do not store payment information (we don't have a paid tier yet). In the event of a data breach affecting user email addresses, we will notify affected users within 72 hours per GDPR requirements.
We may update this Privacy Policy when we add new features (such as paid subscriptions, portfolio tracking, or broker integrations). Material changes will be communicated to subscribers via email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of DividendFlow after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
