It primarily invests in short-duration preferred and income-producing securities issued by companies worldwide, including traditional, hybrid, and floating-rate preferred securities, convertible securities, and contingent capital securities. The fund aims to invest at least 50% of its net assets in investment-grade securities and up to 50% in high-yield securities. To construct the portfolio, the fund evaluates issuer fundamentals, including creditworthiness, and considers market factors. ESG factors may also be incorporated into decision-making. The fund may invest at least 25% of its net assets in the financials sector, up to 15% in securities issued by emerging market firms, and an aggregate of at least 40% in foreign securities. The fund typically intends to hedge currency exposure back to the USD.

The fund will invest at least 80% of its total assets in component securities of the index. The index contains a minimum of 40 stocks, which are equally weighted, and no single sector is allowed to comprise more than 30% of the index weight. It seeks to remain fully invested at all times in securities and/or financial instruments that, in combination, provide exposure to the returns of the index without regard to market conditions, trends or direction.
