It has interests in 13 oil and gas projects. The company, formerly known as Touchstone Resources USA, Inc., was founded in 2001 and is based in Houston, Texas. On April 3, 2007, Cygnus Oil & Gas Corp filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston. The plan was later approved as Chapter 11 liquidation on September 19, 2007.
