It primarily invests in dividend paying stocks of large-cap companies. For its fixed income portion, the fund invests in debt securities such as government bonds, investment grade and high risk, high yield corporate bonds, and convertible bonds. It also invests in emerging market securities. The fund benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the S&P 500 Index, the Lipper Closed-End Global Funds Average, the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Developed Index, and the BoFA Merrill Lynch U.S. High Yield Constrained Index.
