The underlying American Funds will predominately consist of equity funds in the growth, growth-and-income, equity-income and balanced categories. Through its investments in the underlying funds, the fund will have significant exposure to growth-oriented common stocks. The fund will seek to generate some of its income from exposure to dividend paying stocks. It will seek exposure to issuers domiciled outside the United States, including those domiciled in emerging markets.
