The company's properties include the Natural Buttes field in Uintah County; the Greater Cisco Springs field in Grand County; the Mason Lakes and the Ragged Point fields in Musselshell County, Montana; and the Medina County field in Ohio. As of December 31, 2014, its proved undeveloped reserves include 41,515 Bbls of oil and 419,233 MScf of natural gas. The company was founded in 1997 and is based in Greenwood Village, Colorado. On August 16, 2017, an involuntary petition for liquidation under Chapter 7 was filed against Hinto Energy, Inc. in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. On October 31, 2017, the involuntary petition was approved by the Court and the Chapter 7 petition was converted to Chapter 11 reorganization. On December 14, 2017, the the case was converted to liquidation under Chapter 7.
