The fund primarily holds corporate debt securities and floating rate loans rated below investment grade. They may also invest in investment grade debt instruments and in debt instruments of foreign issuers. The corporate debt securities of the fund are typically unsecured with a fixed-rate of interest. HYSD aims for a dollar-weighted average effective maturity of five years or less, and a duration of three years or less.
