In addition, it engages in the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and management of neutral, common-use 802.11x standard WLAN Wi-Fi hot spot, and hot zone infrastructure facilities in airport, quick-service restaurants, universities, travel plazas, marinas, hospitality, and municipal/hot zone locations. ICOA, Inc. owns and operates approximately 1,500 broadband access installations in 45 states; the LinkSpot network in RV parks and campgrounds; and the iDockUSA network in marinas. The company was formerly known as Quintonix, Inc. and it changed its name to ICOA, Inc. in March 1989. ICOA, Inc. was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Warwick, Rhode Island.
