The underlying American Funds will typically seek to generate income from their investments and may include growth-and-income, equity-income, balanced and fixed income funds. Through its investments in the underlying funds, the fund will have significant exposure to dividend-paying stocks. It will seek exposure to issuers domiciled outside the United States, including those domiciled in emerging markets.
