Under normal circumstances, the fund invests its net assets (plus borrowings for investment purposes) in exchange-traded funds (“ETFs”) that invest in or track the performance of small cap U.S. companies, small cap U.S. companies, equity swaps, futures contracts, or options on such small cap U.S. companies or an index of such small cap U.S. companies. The fund will also purchase United States Treasury securities and maintain collateral during periods when derivatives are utilized to capture the night effect on the small cap U.S. companies.

The Fund will invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. Standard & Poor's compiles, maintains and calculates the Index, which is composed of 50 securities traded on the S&P 500 Index that historically have provided high dividend yields and low volatility. The Fund and the Index are rebalanced and reconstituted semi-annually, in January and July.
