This segment also engages in the real estate leasing and facility management, and hotel management operations. The Prescription Pharmaceutical Operation Group segment offers ethical drugs, including Edirol, an active vitamin D3 osteoporosis agent; Clarith, a macrolide antibiotic; Palux, a peripheral vasodilator; Bonviva, a bisphosphonate osteoporosis agent; Lusefi, a type 2 diabetes mellitus agent; and LOQOA, a transdermal anti-inflammatory analgesic. This segment has various products under development primarily in therapeutic areas, such as central nervous system, infectious, and metabolic diseases, as well as orthopedic disorders. The company also offers raw materials for pharmaceuticals and quasi-drugs; and supplies health foods and skin care products.
