Angang Steel Company Limited is involved in the manufacturing, processing, and distribution of steel products throughout the People's Republic of China. Its extensive product portfolio encompasses hot and cold-rolled sheets, medium and thick plates, galvanized steel sheets, color-coating plates, cold-rolled silicon steel, heavy rails and sections, seamless steel pipes, and wire rods, among other steel items. Beyond its core steel operations, the company also conducts ferrous metal smelting, steel pressing, and additional processing activities. Its business scope extends to the sale of metal and building materials, offering wholesale and retail purchasing services, developing metallurgical and related material technologies, and trading various metallic and other materials, including the import, export, wholesale, and retail of technology products. Furthermore, Angang Steel purifies cooking gas, produces coal products and dissolved acetylene, and distributes compressed and liquefied gases. These diverse products find applications across a broad spectrum of industries, including machinery, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical, coal, electricity, railway, shipping, automotive, construction, home appliances, and aviation. The company also engages in international exports. Established in 1997, the company was initially named Angang New Steel Company Limited before adopting its current identity as Angang Steel Company Limited in June 2006. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Anshan, China.
