Beyond these, Athenex is developing novel dual absorption enhancers designed to obstruct the P-gp transporter and cytochrome p450 3A enzymes within the gastrointestinal tract. It also possesses a robust portfolio of T cell receptors engineered to identify hotspot mutations in genes like p53, KRAS, and EGFR, applicable across multiple tumor types. Tracing its origins, the company was established in 2003 and was initially known as Kinex Pharmaceuticals LLC before officially adopting the name Athenex, Inc. in August 2015.
