It operates two nuclear plants, sixteen hydroelectric plants, one combined cycle gas turbine plant, and eight fossil fuel plants in the Czech Republic. The company also operates various fossil fuel, hydro, wind, solar, gas, biogas, and biomass power plants in the Czech Republic; eleven wind power plants in Germany; and two fossil fuel plants and two hydroelectric plants in Poland. In addition, it is involved in the trade and sale of natural gas; mining of coal; quarrying and processing of construction aggregates and limestones; commodity trading business; and provision of energy services. Further, the company holds interest in the lithium ore mining project in CΓnovec. CEZ, a. s. was incorporated in 1992 and is headquartered in Prague, the Czech Republic.
