The core objective of this investment fund is to closely mirror the performance of the S&P MidCap 400 Index, prior to accounting for any fund-related expenses. Typically, the fund allocates at least 80% of its net assets to the equity securities of companies included within this index. The S&P MidCap 400 Index itself is comprised of roughly 400 mid-capitalization U.S. firms operating across a diverse range of sectors. To achieve its goal, the fund's adviser utilizes a passive management approach, often referred to as indexing, which endeavors to closely replicate the index's returns before the impact of operational costs.
