Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. operates across a diverse range of business areas, including mobility, healthcare, food and packaging, and basic materials, along with other ventures. Its Mobility division focuses on developing advanced materials such as elastomers, performance compounds, functional polymers, and polypropylene compounds, while also providing development services for automotive and industrial applications. In the Health Care sector, the company supplies materials for vision care, dental products, personal care items, and nonwoven fabrics. For the Food and Packaging industry, Mitsui Chemicals delivers coating and engineering materials, high-performance films and sheets, and agrochemical products. Within the Basic Materials segment, it produces foundational chemicals like ethylene, propylene, polyethylene, polypropylene, catalysts, phenols, purified terephthalic acid (PTA), PET, polyurethane materials, and various industrial chemical products. Beyond these primary segments, the company's extensive product portfolio also includes civil engineering and construction materials, cosmetics, wood adhesives, paper resins, foliar activators, and other specialized chemical products. It further manufactures polyolefins, urethanes, synthetic resins and films, injection molds and presses, phosphoric acid and fertilizers, spunbonded nonwoven fabrics, synthetic fibers, monomers for optical lenses, and both fine and inorganic chemicals. Mitsui Chemicals also offers various services, including performance analysis, physical property measurements, and safety testing for chemicals. Additionally, it engages in personnel placements, temporary staffing, insurance and travel services, consignments, and the sale of electronics and information materials. The company distributes its products worldwide, serving markets in Japan, China, the broader Asian region, the Americas, Europe, and other international locations. Mitsui Chemicals, Inc., established in 1892, is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
