Parker Drilling Company, founded in 1934 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, is a global enterprise delivering contract drilling, associated services, and equipment rental solutions to the energy sector. The company operates through two primary divisions. Its Drilling Services segment is responsible for the drilling of oil, natural gas, and geothermal wells, utilizing both its own and client-owned rig assets. This includes the specialized deployment of barge rigs for shallow-water oil and gas extraction across the inland waterways and coastal areas of Louisiana, Alabama, and Texas. Moreover, this division offers extensive project services, encompassing engineering, procurement, project management, and commissioning for client-owned drilling facilities, often managing the complex logistical and technological demands of operating in remote, challenging, and ecologically sensitive environments. The Rental Tools Services segment provides a wide selection of rental equipment, such as various drill pipes, tubing, and drill collars, in addition to essential pressure control apparatus like blow-out preventers. This segment also furnishes well construction services, including tubular running and downhole tools; well intervention products, such as whipstock and fishing tools; and vital inspection and machine shop support. Parker Drilling serves an international clientele comprising independent and national oil and natural gas exploration and production companies, drilling contractors, and integrated service providers throughout the United States, Russia and other Commonwealth of Independent States countries, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and other global regions.
