The fund primarily employs a convertible arbitrage strategy. This involves acquiring convertible securities, such as convertible preferred stock, and simultaneously establishing short positions, or hedges, in the common equity of the underlying issuers. To further mitigate unwanted market exposures, the fund may also utilize other hedging instruments like exchange-traded funds (ETFs), options, and currency forwards. A significant portion of its assets could potentially be allocated to the Financial sector.
