Scopus BioPharma Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company in the clinical development phase, dedicated to pioneering innovative treatments for serious diseases. Its core development programs are concentrated on immuno-oncology gene therapies designed to combat various forms of cancer. The company's offerings include the Duet Platform, which incorporates CpG signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) inhibitors. Another significant product is MRI-1867, a cleverly engineered, orally administered, dual-action hybrid small molecule. MRI-1867 functions as an inverse agonist of the endocannabinoid system's cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) and additionally acts as an inhibitor of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). To advance its key development efforts and other programs, Scopus BioPharma has established strategic collaborations with prominent organizations such as the City of Hope, the National Institutes of Health Program, and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Established in 2017, the company was originally named Project18 Inc. before officially rebranding to Scopus BioPharma Inc. in December of that year. Its corporate headquarters are located in New York, New York.
