Slb N.V. (SLB) is currently trading at $53.06, 12% below its 52-week high. The current dividend yield is 2.21% based on an annual payout of $1.17 per share.
SLB operates as a major energy sector player with a $71.2 billion market capitalization, offering a modest 2.44% dividend yield based on an annual payout of $1.17. With a conservative payout ratio of 50% and a P/E ratio of 20.4, the current dividend is well-supported by earnings, ensuring strong short-term safety. However, the company's dividend growth trajectory shows historical weakness, evidenced by a negative 5-year dividend CAGR of -2.7%. While the current yield is sustainable and secure under present market conditions, income-focused investors should weigh the reliable cash return against the lack of consistent historical dividend growth.
