The company's alternate powered systems utilize solar panels, wind turbines, and hydrogen fuel cells to power physical security and communication requirements for areas where power is difficult to obtain, or where conventional power means are expensive to deploy. Its products are used by defense contractors to secure nuclear power plants, by the Federal Bureau of Prisons for emergency response teams, and the U.S. airports for emergency communication and ground surveillance. The company was incorporated in 2008 and is headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia. On June 4, 2013, an involuntary petition for liquidation under Chapter 7 was filed against Critical Solutions, Inc., in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
