The fund employs a “passive” management approach, investing in a portfolio of assets whose performance the subadviser expects to match approximately the performance of the index. It invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities of companies included in the index. The index is composed of approximately 500 common stocks selected by Standard & Poor’s, most of which are listed on the New York Stock Exchange or NASDAQ.
