The fund may invest without limit in municipal instruments subject to the federal alternative minimum tax (AMT). The fund may invest up to 20% in other debt and fixed income investments. SCNM caps its investments rated below investment grade municipal instruments to 10% of assets. The portfolio manager uses a top-down approach, focusing on interest rates and credit quality. The fund selects securities based on its target that is set and continually adjusted for the interest rate sensitivity based on expected interest rate movements. The fund may invest in pooled vehicles, including ETFs, and employ derivatives.
