PPL Corporation (PPL) is currently trading at $34.98, 13% below its 52-week high. The current dividend yield is 3.22% based on an annual payout of $1.13 per share.
PPL Corporation presents a stable dividend profile within the regulated utilities sector, supported by its $25.8 billion market capitalization. The company offers a 3.29% dividend yield based on an annual payout of $1.13 and a P/E ratio of 21.5. With a payout ratio of 71%, the current dividend is reasonably covered by earnings, ensuring short-term sustainability and reliability for income-focused investors. However, the company's long-term dividend growth trajectory remains a concern. The 5-year dividend CAGR of -8.3% reflects previous strategic adjustments and rebasing, which may temper expectations for rapid payout growth. While current cash flows from its utility operations provide a secure foundation for the existing dividend, investors should weigh historical cuts against the company
