It also provides Macrilen/Ghryvelin (macimorelin), an orally active peptidomimetic small molecule that stimulates the secretion of growth hormone from the pituitary gland. The company sells its products through its distribution network. It has license agreements with Pharmanovia, Davimed GmbH, and NK MEDITECH Ltd, as well as Agriculture Canada, Canadian Government, and University of Alberta. The company was formerly known as Aeterna Zentaris Inc. and changed its name to COSCIENS Biopharma Inc. in August 2024. COSCIENS Biopharma Inc. was incorporated in 1990 and is based in Toronto, Canada.
