The company's business is structured into four main divisions: Exploration and Production, Refining and Chemicals, Marketing, and Natural Gas and Pipeline. Beyond these core activities, the firm is also involved in the exploration, development, and output of unconventional resources like oil sands and coalbed methane. Its endeavors further encompass the trading of crude oil and petrochemical products, the management of storage infrastructure, chemical engineering projects, service stations, and diverse transportation assets. Additionally, PetroChina handles the manufacturing and sale of foundational, derivative, and other specialized chemical products. Established in 1999, the corporation's principal administrative offices are located in Beijing, People's Republic of China.
