The company's Consumer division specializes in personal connectivity solutions. This encompasses offering postpaid and prepaid mobile service plans, internet access for laptops and tablets, and various wireless devices such as smartphones, other mobile phones, and connected gadgets like smartwatches. It also supplies residential customers with fixed connectivity services, including internet, television, and voice, and provides network access to mobile virtual network operators. Verizon's Business segment provides an extensive suite of services tailored for organizational clients. These offerings include network connectivity products such as private networking, private cloud integration, virtual and software-defined networking, and internet access. It also delivers IP-based voice and video communications, unified collaboration tools, and customer contact center solutions. Furthermore, the segment offers a range of management and data security services; comprehensive domestic and international voice and data solutions, including calling, messaging, conferencing, contact center capabilities, and dedicated private lines; customer premises equipment; installation, maintenance, and on-site support services; and Internet of Things (IoT) products and services. By December 31, 2021, the Business segment had approximately 27 million wireless retail postpaid connections and 477,000 wireline broadband connections. Established in 1983, the company was initially known as Bell Atlantic Corporation before rebranding to Verizon Communications Inc. in June 2000. Its corporate headquarters are situated in New York, New York.
