About Global X S&P 500 Covered Call & Growth ETF (XYLG) — Dividend Analysis 2026
XYLG attempts to provide the best of two worlds, growth and yield. The fund holds the stocks of the S&P 500 Index and writes one-month, at-the-money Index call options on half of the portfolio value. The call options are held through expiration, either expiring or settling in cash. The fund looks to earn some premium income from half of the portfolio while allowing the other half upside potential. Holding the various positions and writing index call options inside an ETF wrapper is a more efficient way to access the strategy. The strategy should reduce volatility and help generate some income, compared to the index itself, but it also places a drag on the overall upside potential.

How investors use the XYLG dividend calculator
Illustrative examples of common use cases, written by the DividendFlow team — not customer reviews.
💡Example scenario 1
Finally a free dividend calculator that doesn't make me sign up or connect my brokerage. Entered SCHD and got the full DRIP projection in seconds. Bookmarked immediately.
💡Example scenario 2
I've been trying to figure out how much dividend income I'd need to retire. This tool showed me exactly — $400K in JEPI at 7% yield gives me $2,333/month. No calculator did that this clearly before.
💡Example scenario 3
Really solid passive income calculator. Covers everything: DRIP compounding, Roth IRA tax savings, DCA contributions. The year-by-year breakdown is what I was missing from other tools.
💡Example scenario 4
As someone planning retirement in 5 years, this dividend yield calculator showed me I need about 12% more in dividend stocks to hit my income target. Incredibly useful and completely free.
💡Example scenario 5
The Congress trades tracker is genius. Saw that several senators were buying O (Realty Income) and immediately ran it through the DRIP calculator. Bought 50 shares the next day.
